Sometimes feed stores carry animal medicines typically only available from a vet. I’m not talking about pet stores, I mean feed stores/farm stores where people would go to by hay and grain for livestock. Usually these sorts of stores sell things for Cats And Dogs too. If you look up feed stores in your area and ask about the medicine, they may be able to help you out or tell you who may have it for sale.
I definitely understand what you are going through- if your cat has tapeworms and you KNOW thats what it is because he’s had them in the past, but has not seen the vet in over a year, the vet will make you pay for an annual exam before they treat the worms, which of course costs more money. This can be quite frustrating if you know your cat is otherwise healthy and only needs meds for the worms, not a complete exam.
